Message from the LA;

We would like to advise schools of an incident we have recently become aware of, where a black male thought to be of African heritage, driving a white van presumed to be a similar size to a transit style van, carried out a home visit to a family of a pupil who attends St John’s Primary School. The male claimed he was an officer from the Education Welfare Service. We ask that schools remind all their parents/carers to be vigilant in regards to allowing persons unknown to them any contact with their families. Parents/carers should ask to see ID and if unsure to follow this up with a phone call to the agency they claim to be from to confirm their identity.”
